I think the tricky part will be the logic to determine if it has been executed or not. Otherwise it's going to keep sending the same link over and over. Maybe it could store something in the database (post meta data?) that logs the last time it was sent and not send it again for a period of time or until the criteria are not met and then met again (that sounds tricky but most accurate)

Say we have an option "make emails generic". An admin could toggle it on.
We would end up with notifications something like these:

you have been assigned a contact you were @mentioned on a contact update needed on a contact new comment added to a contact a contact has been updated

The option could just turn some of those off by default for all users, like "a contact has been updated".

Cool idea with the merged option. I'm thinking it will be more complicated that we need at this point.

There is also the option to receive notifications via whatsapp.

@Eddie-R the contact list could easily be used to track individuals both members and guests. You could have a system for following up with guests that is tracked and could assign different people tasks related to that follow-up, which is a sweet spot for Disciple.Tools. You could send all your members a periodic request for them to update their records with the magic link feature. I'd set each small group up in the groups record type and you can add the members of the small groups to each and designate the leader for each. Tracking attendance is less of a primary feature for Disciple.Tools, but like @Corsac mentioned, it could possibly be done through the Meetings plugin.

Many tools could meet the needs of your use case. Disciple.Tools will stand out the more that you're collaborating and collecting information from multiple people.

Great question @jaichele70,

Currently with the magic link plugin you can create a "Update your contact details" template and send it to D.T users. With this they can update the details linked to their contact record.

We do hope to see more development on user magic links and a magic link portal where a user has access to a links of their magic links.

There user magic links would be simple apps that do one thing really well, like the share app.

@Hillbilly I've seen that option - would be interested in hearing from those using that service what their experience has been - and how much it's costing them.

On self hosted instances you will need to setup an email service to send email.
Emails sent from php-mailer will have a hard time with deliverability.

We've used mailgun's pay as you go plan (they've hidden it recently).

@Corsac Thanks for confirming that. I looked at the location grid repo and didn't see any good way to contribute.

So I can add the locations to that list, but is there a way to add the polygons? I see the ability to switch to a different mirror for the mapping polygons. If I did that, could I copy/fork the existing data and just add in the extra data I need?
