Create Multipliers who are not Users

I would like to be able to give a contact a Multiplier role without creating them as a DT User. Any Contact given the Multiplier role could then be assigned contacts. Many Multipliers may never use or login to DT directly. Workarounds are possible to this, creating a User but not giving them the login but it would be cleaner to not have to create them as a User.

Maybe other functions fall in this same need? Coaches, group leaders and multipliers?

Hey @AJ,

Lets think this through. What all is needed for a contact with the multiplier role?
To start off, we could play with the contact type field, or we can add a new "role" field to the contacts. By default this might be 'seeker', but could have the 'multiplier', 'coach' values.

Languages and Locations are already available or possible on the contact. I don't think there are move fields needed by default, but you can easily add the needed fields.

Since the "Assigned To" field is linked to the Users, we'll leverage the "Subassigned To" field to assign contacts to these multipliers.

A map of the contacts with the multiplier type or role can be seen in the Metrics > Dynamic Maps

A "Subassigned" magic template exists to create a magic link for the contact with the multiplier role to manage their contacts.

What other aspect should we be considering?

This would be a great addition. Because that is not currently a possibility, my workaround is to add these Multipliers who are not Users as Private Contacts, and share them appropriately. I added a connection field "Responsible for the Meetings" among the other fields on the first top tile. In this way, I use the regular "Assigned to" field for the one responsible for collecting the update from this Multiplier who is not a user.

At the same time, on the same tile, the other field "Responsible for the Meetings" is still displaying who is this "non-user multiplier" who is responsible for the meetings. This type of connection field also allows me to click on him, and see the other contacts under him. And if needed in the future, it's easy to turn that Private Contact into a User.

But this workaround has a couple of important limitations:

if I don't share it correctly, no other role can see him
if I want to use the Dynamic Map to see who is closer to a contact, I can either only view regular Users or include all Private Contacts of the system, which includes those who are not mine.

Having multipliers that are not users, you could use magic links that automatically get sent to them when Updates Needed triggers get triggered. Since non-users wouldn't get notifications about those comments, the combination of these two features would allow non-user contacts to be notified about updates needed for contacts they are assigned to - and give them access to make those updates.
