Harvest Magic Links

Is there a way to generate the Magic Links and not email them but rather simply copy the Magic Link to the clipboard?
Ideally would be to generate magic links for a group and have a report that listed all the names with the associated Magic Link.
This is for a team that wants to begin using ML but their disciplers don't use email or WA. Their current workaround is to set the email for all the disciplers to their dispatcher's email and then receive the emails individually copy the link and message it to their disciplers using a local messaging platform.

@AJ, yes Magic Links are simply custom/specific urls that can be copied and pasted into any messaging platform. The link gives access to the specific parameters for which it was designed. So giving the link out gives access to that portal. You can give that access to a group, but the data entry would all be registered as coming through the magic link, not by each different person unless each had a different link.

@Hillbilly Great - thanks. But can you help me understand how I could access the generated link without going through the process of having it sent to me in an email?
For example, if I have a Link set-up for 5 disciplers to update their assigned contacts and I plan to send that to them every Monday.
Because they don't use email, I plan to send that link to them via a local messaging platform, say Viber, etc.
Currently, I don't know how to get the link for each of them apart from putting my email in their profile (they don't use DT directly and never login). I then get 5 emails (with their name in the body so I can who each link goes to). I can copy the link from their corresponding email and then paste it into Viber and send to them.
Having Twilio or sth to interface directly is a great long term solution but there's always going to be some new channel and the interface will take time to catch up to it.
A better work-around for me would be to generate the links on the ML page that I can copy them to the clipboard without ever having to send/receive emails and copy.
Just wasn't sure if I'm missing some way to do that already?

@AJ Ah, ok. It depends on the type of magic link (user vs contact-oriented).
I think you're asking about the user-oriented magic link, so I'll answer it first. Because it is user based, the user can find the link in the profile settings and turn it on and off. They have to be logged in to grab it and save it, but then could use it from a non-logged in state. Disciple.Tools hasn't made this link as easily available as it utilizes the user permissions. You can access this link from the backend where you create and customize the links.
Extensions (D.T) > Magic Links > Links tab: Add or select a User Contacts Update type link and then scroll down to Assigned Users and Teams and you can add the users you want here and click update and then view and copy the links. If you set them to never expire then the same link could be used continually. You can set them to refresh and come back here to grab new links, etc. Remember to balance security needs against usability needs as there are trade-offs.
However, when you create a contact-oriented magic link, there is a tile added to all the contact records titled "Apps" and it has a set of five icons on it. You can go to a contact record and utilize these buttons for that contact's link to:
- see the magic link, i.e. go to it now and see what they will see
- copy the link
- set up a manual sending of the link to their email with a custom note
- give a QR code that can be scanned
- refresh the link if you want the old one to no longer work and issue a new one
These links are more readily available to the users who can see the record as the access given through the link is only related to fields on that record which the user can already see and work with.
