D.T Theme stopped updating automatically--need help updating manually

Hello,
I just realized that our Disciple.Tools multisite had stopped updating the theme automatically at 1.51. (Strangely, WP Engine shows it being 'up-to-date')-
I tried downloading the theme and manually uploading and installing it. That didn't go well.

I get the awesome mostly blank page with Wordpress error screen when I try to get to Admin are for the network.
Any ideas how I can get out of this and get updated?
I first realized there may be a problem when we created a Prayer campaign for Ramadan and I tried to get the shortcodes. That also generated the Wordpress white page of death. -

We found the issue blocking the theme update notification in the multisite plugin. The new version (1.13.1) fixes this issue.
