Add new location grid data

How do we go about submitting new location grid data? I have a site running for a small island (Comoros) group that only has admin 0 and 1 level data. Our team would like to track at a lower level, and I found the data online (https://data.humdata.org/dataset/cod-ab-com?).
What is the process for submitting that to the location grid project and making that available on our site? Is it possible to add it to the core project, or is it better to just do it in a bespoke way for just our site?

The easiest would be to add it manually on the site:
I don't think we've created a process yet for updating the core files with grid and polygon data. I'll double check.

@Corsac Thanks for confirming that. I looked at the location grid repo and didn't see any good way to contribute.
So I can add the locations to that list, but is there a way to add the polygons? I see the ability to switch to a different mirror for the mapping polygons. If I did that, could I copy/fork the existing data and just add in the extra data I need?
