Metricool Plugin?

Has anybody considered using Metricool for responding/filtering? Is there any chance of getting a plugin like the one for Echo to get contacts into DT?

I haven't heard of anyone using Metricool.
Metricool would need to have an API developers can use for us to pull contacts into Disciple.Tools.
It doesn't look like they've made one available. -
@Jeffrey-Jones @jaichele70 Might be able to speak into in more. I know his group has tested it out. The biggest issue I see with Metricool is that you can't assign contacts to different users, all of the messages remain in the inbox for everyone. Do you have experience using it? I'm always looking for alternatives to Echo.

@DP I’m actually part of @jaichele70’s team and focusing on Bosnia where we do a lot of the testing. That’s why I was asking to keep it in mind as we check it out.

@Corsac Thanks for the info. I hadn’t looked into the API stuff yet so it’s good to know they don’t have one as we evaluate whether to use it.

@Corsac Some of our people have been testing it out because it's way cheaper than Echo. Here's the API info we found today. Would this API make it possible to build a connection between Metricool and DT?

It looks like you need an account to access what their API can do.We'd love to bring some of these features directly inside D.T in the future.

@Jeffrey-Jones Hey! Haven't had personal experience with Metricool, but heard that some teams have enjoyed using it in Central Asia. You probably know some of them.
In terms of alternatives to Echo, I know EW is working on something. Had a chat with them in Feb. Just waiting for something to be released. I'm not aware of their release plan (first in-house, then what, etc.).
I wrote up a side-by-side comparison of Hootsuite, Metricool, and VistaSocial recently. My goal was to create a reference point for my team, but I'm happy to share that as well. In the end, VistaSocial seems to be the most robust and the most economical for the features it offers. Small teams should be just fine with something like Metricool.

@lukeolson From my understanding, EW is no longer working on an Echo alternative.
I've been testing out Rocket.Chat. It looks promising, but ends up being more expensive than Echo if you're needing it for multiple teams. For a single team/instance it is cheaper.
I've got a call with Brandwatch on Friday to check it out. I know of one team that has been using it and likes it.

@lukeolson I've recently noticed the pricing is off for some reason. Oops. I omitted platforms that were more than $150/mo.
The security fields were left blank. My weakest skill is understanding security, and so I felt I wasn't able to adequately evaluate the security for each platform. Any volunteers to do that?

@jaichele70 not that i know of. We'd be happy to work with anyone able to invest the dev time.
In this next season we plan on doing more to scope out a D.T social media messaging service that would bring all functionality directly within D.T.

@Corsac Just wanna keep this fresh. We have a license for Metricool. I was just talking with one of the teams we serve and this would be great for them...especially if the convo could be captured automatically.
