We were clearing out some of the old groups we had set up and accidentally deleted one we didn't mean to. We went back to restore it and could not find it among the deleted groups. We deleted it directly from Disciple tools (not using the admin wordpress backend, but clicking the delete group under admin actions at the top of the group).

Where did this deleted group go? Is it lost forever or is there a way to recover it? Thank you!

In disciple tools you can make a group inactive and then it still is available. If you delete a group, it is deleted permanently. The only way to access it would be to restore a backup of the whole site.
